Most of the fiber festivals have been cancelled this year but you can visit the farm Oct. 3-4, 10-4 each day. Come see our beloved Jacob sheep at CeCe and Eric's farm in Delanson, NY. We'll have a sheep walk and demonstrations which will take place outdoors – dress for the weather. Shop for yarn, roving fiber, pillows and more and help weave or learn to knit. Stuff for kids to do too. Bring a chair and your project and sit a spell. Or take a pasture walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
We will have a local food truck on site on Sunday - Oct. 4. Restaurant Novana of Albany will be providing yummy food! Check out their website here: https://restaurantnavona.com/.
Admission is free. All activities are taking place outside so plan to dress for the weather. Wear hiking shoes or sneakers - sandles, flip flops, or high heels are not appropriate for the terrain. Masks and social distancing are required. And please, no dogs. Our dog, sheep, cats, chickens and ducks won't like them, even if your dog is friendly.
Demonstrations include spinning, weaving, felting and rope making. You can even pick up wool filled pillow! Learn about the sheep and the amazing fiber they share with us.
Over 30 farms, fiber studios, makers, and a mill are participating across an eight-county region including southwestern Vermont and New York’s Hudson Valley. The event is coordinated by the Southern Adirondack Fiber Producers Cooperative. Find what other farms are participating here: https://soadkfiberproducers.org/. Please note: our farm - CeCe's Wool - is only participating in the first weekend - Oct. 3-4.
