A field of gorgeous tulips was our inspiration for our special colorway for the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival fo 2023. The tulips in upstate New York are just peaking right now and such a welcoming harbinger of spring. Our speckled colorway is called Tulip Fields and it matches perfectly with Magenta Crush, a tonally solid beautiful solid color that our riff off this year's Pantome color of the year, Magenta.

We've dyed up several bases and all will be available at the MD Sheep and Wool Festival and on-line. If we run out of our current stock at the festival, we will dye more so please consider this listing a pre-order. Shipping will be delayed about one week if we need to dye your order.

We love how this color scheme came out in our new American Ewe DK and Fingering weight yarns. Both yarns are non superwash and consist of wool from Merino and Rambouillet sheep that is grown under the Shaniko Wool Co. farm group where all the ranches follow Responsible Wool Standards of care of the sheep and appropriate land management.
