All Cooped Up! This set of 7 skeins are hand dyed in the subtle colors of egg shells. One of the 7 skeins is left undyed (white), but we did wash it. The other colors reflect eggs subtle colors: brown, blue, light green, dark green, and grey. One skein is lightly variegated with all the colors. Each 4 oz skein is 560 yards of fingering weight superwash Merino. Total yardage for the entire set of 7 skeins is 3,920 yards.
We love our chickens and the beautiful eggs they lay. This yarn celebrates their colors and is something we dreamed up while being cooped up during the coronavirus pandemic.
Also note: Due to the positive response, we have added an option of a set of the Cooped Up Egg colors in 2 oz skeins. Each set of 7 colors in 2 oz skeins (280 yards) is $75.00. Total yardage of the 2 oz skein set is 1,960. You can make a sweater with that.
I bought this set after seeing so many on Facebook buying it and saying how soft and lovely it is. So I felt the need to get some too! The package arrived very quickly, and right now the yarn is in my stash as I decide what project I'm going to make with it. I see a beautiful sweater in my future. I do want to note that there was an odd oder when I opened the package, maybe a bleach kind of oder. If it was bleach, it would have been a coronavirus precaution, but it was still pretty strong smelling. I just kept the yarn out to air out, it was just kind of unexpected.
Lovely yarn, what I expected. A brown egg color would have gone well in this mix!
