I fell in love with the Dale sweater pattern by Sasha Hyrie (aka Veronoa Knits). It's a gender neutral pattern with limitless color possibilities and I knew we had the perfect yarn combination for it!
Please purchase the pattern here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dale-8
The pattern is perfect for our new American Ewe Yarn DK base that 100% non-superwash Merino and Rambouillet wool from the Shaniko Wool Co. Fully traceable yarn raised under Responsible Wool Standard and all grown and processed in the United States and lightly hand tonally dyed by talented dyer Kelly Shultes. And we have it in hand dyed in 24 delicious colors! I used Strawberry Milkshake in my sample. If you hover over the squares of skein colors, the color name will pop up.
I made the clouds with brushed wool that is a new yarn from Ashford using 100% Merino wool from New Zealand. It's incredibly soft and fuzzy and perfect for this pattern.
Each kit will contain one 8 oz skein of American Ewe DK in your selected colorway and 50 grams of brushed wool. It's enough to make a sweater up to size 3 (2-3 years old) with 27.5" chest circumference (70 cm). This amount of brushed wool is enough to make all of the sizes.
Below are the yardage amounts in our DK and brushed wool:
American Ewe DK 4 oz: 298 yards
American Ewe DK 8 oz: 596 yards
Brushed Wool 50 grams: 246 yards
To build your kit, pick the color of the 8 oz DK skein you prefer. A 50 gram cake of brushed wool will automatically be added.
