Anaashah is the Native Alaskan Eyak people’s word for wildflower and a perfect pattern for the MD Sheep and Wool Festival where we are featuring the Monarch butterfly which loves wildflowers!
The pattern is not included with the kit and can be purchased on Ravelry:
The pattern can be knit with fingering or sport weight yarn. Our sample was knitted by Anne Barnes in sport weight using our Local Gems Yarn - a yarn line we developed with Battenkill Fiber. It's a mix of Finn and Merino wool. The oatmeal color comes from brown Finn Wool. It's a lovely, soft and perfect for colorwork or lighter sweaters for the spring. We dyed this yarn in cheery solids and colors of gem stones with lots of tonal and colors - hence the name Local Gems.
The main color of the sample is our natural color of Local Gem Yarns. We used Kyanite for the contrasting color in the yoke. Each kit will include natural color for the main color and you select the contrasting color for the yoke.
We love our Local Yarn Gem yarns. Each skein is
