We are excited to offer these pairings of CeCe's Wool Yarn Baby with Sandnes Garn Silk Mohair for the "Will 'O The Wisp" shrug knitting pattern by Melissa Kemmerer. This pattern can be found in Issue Six of Nomadic Knits.
From the Nomadic Knits description: Melissa's shrug is worked as a mohair rectangle with an easy lace design folded in half to create 'sleeves'. A ribbed border is picked up and knit using mohair and fingering weight yarns held together. Our CeCe's Wool Yarn Baby in 4 oz fingering weight and Sandnes Garn Silk Moahair are perfect for this pattern.
The sample on the cover of the book is 17"x24" and the pattern is customizable to whatever dimensions you prefer. Yarn requirements are one 100g skein of fingering weight yarn and one 50 gram ball of lace weight mohair if knitting up to 19.5" x 48". Larger sizes should purchase the larger yarn option. The larger option contains one 8 oz skein Yarn Baby and two balls of Sandnes Garn Silk Mohair. The large 8 oz skein will ensure consistent colorway throughout.
We've put together three pairings of our yarns and these kits receive free shipping!
Each group contains:
* CeCe's Wool Yarn Baby, 4 oz ($22) or 8 oz ($44) fingering weight skein, depending on size
* Sandnes Garn Silk Mohair, one or two 50 gram ball ($19), depending on size
Nomadic Knits Issue Six ($18)Yarn can be purchased with or the without yarn.
You can also put together your own pairings of any Yarn Baby Colorway with the Sandnes Garn Silk Mohair. We recommend using the Silk Mohair instead of Sandnes Garn's Tynn Silk Mohair because it is more substantial.
