Feb. 24 5:30-7:00 pm Fixing Knitting Mistakes
Oh no!!! You've got a knitting 911 emergency and don't know what to do??? Have no fear! This class will help beginners and experienced knitters to fix mistakes.
You will learn how to read your stitches, fix dropped stitches and the ugly frogging.
March 3 6:00-8:00 pm Crocheting a Messy Bun Hat with Holly
Messy bun hats are all the rage! Let Holly show you how to make a fun hat for your pony tail using an easy pattern. Homework: Bring in an H Hook and a worsted weight yarn in one or more colors. Cost: $25
March 4 2:00-4:00 pm Planned Pooling Party
Hate how color just goes to one spot or takes over the pattern? With planning you can control colors that pool and get the look you want in your next project. Knowledge level: open to all fiber artists.
Homework: bring in variegated yarns you would love to make work for you.
April 7 6:00-7:30 pm Crochet Yoga Socks with Holly
Got a friend who wants their toes and heels free of socks? Got a family member who does yoga or pilates? These socks are crowd pleasers! Holly will show you the basics to successfully crochet yoga socks in this fun class.
Homework: bring in a skein of sport weight yarn and a 2.25 mm hook. Pttern will be provided. Cost: $20.
March 18 10:00-11:00 am Drop Spindle Spinning
Always wanted to learn how to spin on a drop spindle? Samantha Graves will show you how. Learn how to prepare and draft fiber and successfully create your own yarn.
Bring your own drop spindle or purchase one from the shop. Fiber to be provided. Class is one hour but stay as long as you want to master the technique. Class fee $15.00.
March 22 5:30-7:30 pm Blocking Party
Got hand made items and you want to keep them at their best? Let us help you with blocking and shaping your items to get the best results.
Homework: Bring rust proof t-pins, your hand made garments, extra thirsty cotton towels, an extra pair of socks, and your dancing shoes! Includes a bottle of SOAK wash.
March 24 3:00-5:00 pm Beginning Crochet with Jennifer
Want to learn to crochet? This intensive class will put the spring into your crochet hook! Jennifer will teach the most basic steps with a fun project to wear.
Homework: Please bring in a 5.5 mm hook (we have them in the shop), cotton or wool in worsted weight yarn in any color other than black.
April 1 2:00-4:00 pm Selecting and Changing Yarn with Confidence
You've got this great pattern but not the yarn it calls for? Bad news indeed! Let Danielle help you make good choices based on what the pattern calls for and how to get around words like "needs fingering weight" or "Silk only."
