Our Own Jacob Wool Yarn

Current Stock:

We love our Jacob sheep and the beautiful fiber they grow.  We shear our sheep once a year in March.  Our shearer is very gentle and loves shearing our sheep.  This year we sorted the wool into two colors and heavily skirted it - meaning we removed wool that was too coarse or too full of vegetable matter.  Only the best wool fiber ends up getting spun into our yarn.  We took the yarn to a new mill this year - Nobletown Fiber Works in Hillsdale, NY.  Lewis, the owner, did a fantastic job cleaning and spinning the yarn into hefty 4.5 oz Aran Weight skeins. This yarn is springy and light and we think it will make great hats and sweaters or whatever you are making.  We love the results and we think you will too!

Each skein is a two ply aran weight yarn, about 200 yards and 4.5 oz.
